Police Step-Up Patrols Ahead of Halloween

Police across Central New York are beefing up patrols on Halloween night.

Troopers say they will be increasing the number of sobriety checkpoints, as well as DWI patrols. Last Halloween, state police responded to more than 17-hundred vehicle crashes that resulted in about 250 injures and three deaths.

Other Law Enforcement agencies in the region say they are planning to have more patrols out to make sure children out trick-or-treating will be safe.
