State's Highest Court Will Hear Appeal Of Neulader Case

Syracuse, N.Y. - New York's Top Court will hear the appeal of Robert Neulander's overturned murder conviction.

Neulander was convicted in 2015 of killing his wife Leslie in their DeWitt mansion in 2012.

In a split decision, an appellate court in Rochester overturned the conviction because of text messages that were sent to one juror, who then deleted and lied about them.

The appeal will grind on for several more months and the case may not be heard by State Court of Appeals until next year.

Neulander has been free since July after posting a million dollars bail.
