Neulander Has Posted Bail

Syracuse, N.Y. - The Dewitt doctor convicted of killing his wife is now free on bail while he awaits his retrial.

Dr. Robert Neulander posted bail this morning and is in the process of being released.

Neulander was granted a new trial for the 2012 murder of his wife Leslie when the State Supreme Court found that jury misconduct should have resulted in a mistrial.

Earlier this week a judge handed down a bail of $1 Million cash or $2 Million bond. Neulander must submit to GPS monitoring, surrender his passport, and can not leave Onondaga County with a judge's approval.

District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick says he is considering whether to appeal that court decision to the state's highest judicial body, the New York State Court of Appeals.
