Girl Scout Cookie season launched nationally this month. Locally, Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways (GSNYPENN officially begins its season on February 6. The council invites businesses, breweries and community organizations to partner in a fun and meaningful way as 2026 cookie partners.
“Becoming a cookie partner is a great opportunity for area businesses and organizations to support local Girl Scouts and youth leadership while creating memorable experiences for their customers, staff and the broader community,” said Christina Verratti, GSNYPENN Vice President of Product Programs & Volunteer Services.
Cookie partners support GSNYPENN Girl Scouts as they build confidence, practice public speaking and develop real-world business skills. By partnering, organizations gain positive foot traffic and meaningful community engagement through several easy, flexible opportunities designed to fit a variety of spaces and missions:
- hosting Girl Scouts at a traditional on-site cookie booth
- welcoming a Girl Scout for a quick and engaging “cookie break” to learn about benefits of the program during a staff meeting or lunch hour
- offering cookie and craft beverage pairings
- making a big impact by buying out a booth to share or donate cookies
Those who choose to buy out a booth can also opt to donate cookies through the council’s Sweet Support Gift of Caring annual service project benefiting community designees. This year, all donated cookies will be gifted to regional Meals on Wheels providers, Food Bank of Central New York and Food Bank of the Southern Tier at the end of the season.
GSNYPENN serves members in Allegany, Broome, Cayuga, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne and Yates counties in New York, and Bradford and Tioga counties in Pennsylvania.
