A new 90-unit apartment complex called The Nest has been proposed for the village of Minoa in eastern Onondaga County. The development would be built on a vacant, wooded seven-acre parcel located off Esther Street and McKinley Street, according to William Brazill, the mayor of Minoa.

The project, developed by Sal ZaVaglia of Venterra LLC, aims to address the growing need for housing in the area. As reported by syracuse.com, the complex would include four three-story buildings and a clubhouse. The apartments will offer both one-bedroom and two-bedroom options at market rates.

In a recent presentation to the planning board, the developer emphasized that The Nest will feature open spaces and recreational opportunities for residents, while helping to increase available housing in the community. The planning board is currently reviewing the site plan. If approved, the proposal will move to the town board for a zoning change review.

No timeline for construction has been announced, and the developer could not be reached for further comment. The village will continue reviewing the project as it moves through the approval process.
