Authorities are investigating a partial building collapse at Enfoque Images on State Fair Boulevard in Geddes, which occurred on Sunday morning (April 5). Emergency crews responded to the scene after receiving reports of an explosion at approximately 10:07 a.m. Despite the dramatic event, no injuries were reported.

The Lakeside Fire Department suggested that the collapse might have been caused by a buildup of water on the roof, exacerbated by recent heavy rainfall in the Syracuse area. According to the Onondaga County 911 Center, the scene is no longer considered active.

Witnesses in the area reported hearing a loud boom before observing the roof lift and then cave in. Fire Chief Manny Falcone of the Lakeside Fire Department mentioned that the cause could potentially be related to a gas issue, though the investigation is ongoing.

Firefighters found no signs of fire or other hazards at the scene. Crews are working to bring in an excavator to safely dismantle the remaining structure. Authorities, including the Geddes Police Department and an insurance company, will continue their investigation into the incident.

The community remains on alert as officials work to determine the exact cause of the collapse. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
