Syracuse police are actively investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday (April 2) on South Salina Street. Officers responded to the scene around 2:22 p.m. and discovered a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right thigh. The victim was promptly transported to Upstate University Hospital, where his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, according to a department spokesperson.
The incident took place in the 3200 block of South Salina Street, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Syracuse Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.
