Country music fans in Syracuse have a treat in store as rising star Priscilla Block is set to perform at the New York State Fair on Wednesday, September 2, at 6 p.m. The concert, part of the fair's Women's Day lineup, will take place at Chevy Court and is included with the price of admission.
Block gained prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic by using TikTok to promote her music. Her platinum-certified track "Just About Over You" topped the iTunes All-Genre and Country charts, and she scored her first No. 1 hit with "You, Me and Whiskey," a duet with Justin Moore, in 2023. Her debut album, "Welcome to the Block Party," was named one of the "Best Albums of 2022" by The New York Times.
Block's music has amassed over 700 million global streams, and she has made appearances on popular shows such as "The Kelly Clarkson Show" and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." She has opened for country icons like Shania Twain, Jon Pardi, and Old Dominion.
Fair Director Julie LaFave expressed excitement about Block's performance, stating, "The authenticity Priscilla Block brings to the stage makes her a must-see artist for country fans." The fair, which runs from August 26 through September 7, offers a wide array of entertainment, with more than 40 concerts scheduled across two main stages.
Admission to the fair is $8 for adults, while children under 12 and seniors aged 65 and older can attend for free. Tickets will be available for purchase later this summer.
