Residents in parts of Oswego should prepare for a temporary water outage scheduled to begin on Saturday (March 7) at 10:30 p.m. and last until approximately 7 a.m. on Sunday (March 8). The outage will affect water service along State Route 104 East, specifically between George Street and Jim Shampine Drive, as city crews work to repair a water main.
In addition to the water outage, there will be traffic disruptions on the affected portion of State Route 104 East. All vehicular traffic will be diverted around the work site to ensure a safe environment for repair personnel.
The City of Oswego has assured residents that every effort will be made to minimize the duration of the outage. Once water service is restored, residents may notice some discoloration in the water. The city advises flushing the cold-water system until the water runs clear.
For further information about the planned outage, residents can contact the Oswego Department of Public Works at (315) 342-8180.
