Syracuse Police Seek Leads in Fatal Shooting of Jesus Delgado

Syracuse police continue their investigation into the fatal shooting of Jesus Delgado, a 25-year-old man, who was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Lawrence Street early Tuesday (March 3). Officers responded to the scene around 12:15 a.m. after the department's ShotSpotter technology detected gunfire in the 100 block of Lawrence Street.

Upon arrival, police discovered Delgado lying in the street, suffering from gunshot wounds to his midsection and chest. He was immediately transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office.

Authorities have not yet identified any suspects or established a motive for the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing, and police urge anyone with information to contact the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.

As reported by Channel 2 Now, the police have not released additional details regarding potential leads in the case. The community is encouraged to come forward with any information that might assist in solving this crime.
