Quiet Riot, the iconic rock band best known for hits like 'Come on Feel the Noize' and 'Bang Your Head,' will headline the opening night of the 2026 Great New York State Fair in Syracuse. The group is scheduled to perform at the Chevy Court stage on Wednesday, August 26 at 6 p.m., with no additional cost beyond daily fair admission.

According to the official announcement, Quiet Riot's return follows their memorable show at the fair in 2023. Fair Director Julie LaFave said, "Quiet Riot brought a party the last time they performed at the Fair. We’re excited to welcome them back on Opening Day to get the crowds energized and set the tone for an unforgettable 2026."

The New York State Fair will run from Wednesday, August 26 through Labor Day, Monday, September 7. Admission is $8 for adults, while children under twelve and seniors over sixty-five get in free. All concerts, including Quiet Riot’s, are included in the price of admission.

The 2026 Chevrolet Music Series will feature forty-one national acts, with daily concerts at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Chevy Court, and 8 p.m. shows at Suburban Park. Other scheduled performers include The Commodores, Sean Paul, ZZ Top, and Trace Adkins. The fairgrounds will also host special 9 p.m. shows on selected nights.

The Great New York State Fair, founded in 1841, is the oldest in the United States and a major event in Central New York, drawing visitors from across the region. Tickets for 2026 will be available later this summer, and the full concert lineup is regularly updated on the fair’s official website.
