The Central New York Boat Show sets sail today at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, offering boating enthusiasts a chance to explore hundreds of watercraft before the summer season begins.

Running from Thursday (February 19) through Sunday (February 22), the show will feature over 400 all-new boats, including powerboats, pontoons, sailboats, and personal watercraft spread across two buildings at the fairgrounds - the Expo Center and Exhibit Center. Visitors can also browse a special section dedicated to pre-owned vessels, perfect for those looking for more budget-friendly options.

Show hours are 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, with weekend hours extending from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, according to event organizers.

Adult admission is $12, with free entry for children 16 and under. Attendees receive wristbands valid for the entire weekend, allowing multiple visits without additional cost. The venue offers free parking and shuttle service to enhance the visitor experience.

Beyond browsing boats, the show provides valuable educational opportunities. Visitors can sign up for a free boater safety course - an important consideration for new boat owners. As a special incentive, the event website notes that everyone who completes the safety class will receive free admission tickets to the H. Lee White Maritime Museum.

The Central New York Boat Show is part of a series of regional boat exhibitions happening across the state in early 2026. Other upcoming shows include The Great Upstate Boat Show scheduled for March 26-29 in Queensbury, according to The Marine Web, a boating resource website.
