Travelers passing through Syracuse Hancock International Airport now have a new dining option to satisfy their chicken cravings, but only if they're flying on Mondays.
Starting this week, a Chick-fil-A pop-up location is now operating in Terminal B next to Johnny Rockets. The temporary restaurant will be open exclusively on Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to WSYR-TV.
The pop-up, operated through Chick-fil-A Cicero, offers a condensed menu featuring the chain's popular items including their signature chicken sandwich (with a spicy option available), 8-count nuggets, and the Spicy Southwest Salad.
Airport employees haven't been forgotten in this new food arrangement. Staff members will receive a 10% discount on their purchases, as noted in the fine print of the restaurant's menu.
This marks a significant addition to the airport's dining options, as the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority continues efforts to enhance passenger experiences. "We're thrilled to enhance the passenger experience by partnering with Chick-fil-A of Cicero to bring their popular fast-food offerings to the airport," said SRAA Chief Commercial Officer Jason Mehl in a statement reported by InformNNY.com.
The Monday-only schedule aligns with Chick-fil-A's typical operating pattern, as the chain's standalone restaurants are traditionally closed on Sundays.
Travelers looking to grab a chicken sandwich or nuggets can find the pop-up in Terminal B, past security checkpoints.
