The 117th annual Syracuse Auto Expo kicked off Thursday (February 12) at the Oncenter in downtown Syracuse, continuing a tradition that dates back to 1907.
Car enthusiasts from across Central New York will have the opportunity to explore hundreds of new vehicles spread across three floors and 135,000 square feet of showroom space through Sunday (February 15).
The Syracuse Automobile Dealers Association event, one of the nation's oldest auto shows, features the latest cars, trucks, and SUVs from top manufacturers, along with interactive displays throughout two buildings at the Oncenter complex on South State Street.
A unique feature of this year's expo is the presence of local animal rescue organizations. Friends of Second Chance, CNY Cat Coalition, and Seventh Heaven Rescue are showcasing dogs and puppies available for adoption during specific hours throughout the weekend.
The expo was preceded by the 27th Annual Charity Preview on Wednesday (February 11), a cocktail party fundraiser benefiting local charities.
Show hours vary by day, with Thursday and Friday running from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from noon to 8 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $11 for adults, with discounts for seniors and children. Military personnel, veterans, and first responders receive free admission on Thursday, and a special family admission price is available on Sunday.
The Valentine's Day weekend event runs through Sunday, with free parking available at the Oncenter Garage and the State Street Parking Lot.
