The Val Bialas Ski Facility in Utica will open its slopes to winter sports enthusiasts starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, February 13.
City officials have announced special pricing for the winter break period, offering $20 unlimited day pass lift tickets through February 22. This promotional rate aims to encourage local residents to enjoy outdoor winter recreation during the mid-February school break.
Visitors to the municipal ski area will also find the chalet fully operational, featuring a cozy fireplace, tables with seating, and complimentary refreshments including water, tea, and hot chocolate.
The facility, located in Utica's Roscoe Conkling Park, has been a local winter recreation destination for generations. The ski area typically offers skiing, snowboarding, and tubing options depending on snow conditions.
Hours will be extended during the opening period to accommodate more visitors during the winter break season.
