Auburn residents can now receive their water and sewer bills electronically, following a new paperless billing initiative announced by city officials on Wednesday.
The digital billing option aims to provide faster, more convenient service while addressing delivery challenges faced by some community members. City officials noted that residents who travel south during winter months have experienced delays in receiving their bills due to U.S. Postal Service disruptions.
"Many residents who travel south for the winter have experienced delays in receiving their water bills due to US postal service delays," the city stated in its public notice. "Go paperless and receive your bill by email."
Auburn residents interested in switching to paperless billing can enroll on the city's website. The city encourages prompt registration to take advantage of the new service.
This initiative represents part of Auburn's efforts to modernize city services while providing more reliable billing options for residents. The electronic delivery system ensures timely receipt of utility bills regardless of a resident's physical location or postal service conditions.
