Auburn Man Charged for Injuring Infant with Console

In Auburn, 33-year-old Jason Brown faces charges for allegedly injuring his two-month-old daughter during a domestic incident on Wednesday (December 30). According to the Auburn Police Department, Brown threw a video game console at his girlfriend, who was holding the infant at the time. The console struck the baby, causing a skull fracture and a brain bleed. The child was initially treated at Auburn Community Hospital before being transferred to Upstate University Hospital due to the severity of her injuries. Her current condition remains unknown.

Brown has been charged with second-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal possession of a firearm, among other charges. During the investigation, police discovered that Brown possessed multiple firearms illegally, including a Taurus semi-automatic pistol with a loaded magazine and two AR-style rifles.

As reported by CNY Central, Brown has been processed and transported to the Cayuga County Jail, with the possibility of additional charges being filed.
