Syracuse police are asking for public assistance in locating a suspect involved in a stabbing incident that occurred on Saturday (December 20) afternoon near Clinton Square. At approximately 4:36 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of South Salina Street and Water Street, where they found a 31-year-old man with a stab wound to his back. According to Syracuse police spokesperson Sgt. Thomas Blake, the victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital by American Medical Response. Fortunately, the injury is not considered life-threatening.
The Syracuse Police Department is actively investigating the incident and has yet to make any arrests. Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the stabbing to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222. CNY Central also reported on the incident, emphasizing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
