Authorities in Utica are actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday (December 18). Police responded to reports of gunshots on the 1000 Block of Steuben Street around 12:25 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a man who had been shot in the back of the head. The victim was quickly transported to Wynn Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to WKTV, the Utica police are conducting interviews with individuals present at the scene, but no suspects have been identified yet. The name of the deceased has not been released as authorities continue their investigation.
