Police Identify Woman Killed in Baldwinsville Hit-and-Run

State Police have identified the woman killed in a hit-and-run accident in Baldwinsville as Tammy Langford-Michel, 53, of Baldwinsville. The incident occurred early Sunday morning (December 7) on Downer Street. Langford-Michel was reportedly walking from a nearby Dunkin' Donuts when she was struck by a vehicle around 5:50 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene, with injuries consistent with being hit by a car, according to Syracuse.com.

Authorities have located the vehicle and the driver involved in the crash. The driver is currently being interviewed, but no charges have been announced yet. The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office played a key role in tracking down the driver using a license plate reader, as reported by LocalSYR.com.

Langford-Michel leaves behind two adult children and four grandchildren. The police are continuing their investigation and have asked anyone with information to contact them at (315) 366-6000.
