Three people sustained injuries during a sword-related incident at Grenadier Village Apartments in Salina on Thursday (December 4). The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office responded to multiple 911 calls around 1 a.m., reporting a violent altercation involving a sword.

According to CNY Central, the incident began when Joseph Camber, 27, and his brother Jovon, 21, allegedly poured gasoline on the front porch of Bishop Jones's apartment. This act prompted Jones and his friend, 36-year-old Alexander Romanenko, to confront the brothers. During the ensuing fight, Jones brandished a sword, striking Joseph Camber in the arm and accidentally injuring Romanenko's leg.

Both Camber and Romanenko received immediate medical attention from first responders, who applied tourniquets to their wounds before transporting them to Upstate University Hospital. Camber was treated and released into police custody, while Romanenko underwent surgery and is now in stable condition. Jones sustained a minor hand injury but declined further treatment.

The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office has charged Joseph and Jovon Camber with attempted arson. Bishop Jones faces charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon. All three individuals are awaiting arraignment at the Onondaga County CAP Court.
