Drivers in Central New York are experiencing a slight relief at the gas pump. According to Triple A, the average cost for a gallon of regular fuel in the region is now $3.08. This marks a one-cent decrease over the past week, although prices remain three cents higher than they were a month ago.

Statewide, the average gas price is $3.13 per gallon, slightly above the national average of $3.00. These figures, reported by AAA, reflect current trends as of Monday (December 1).

While the reduction in prices is minimal, it provides some relief for motorists as they navigate their daily commutes and holiday travels. The current trend of decreasing prices may continue, offering hope for further reductions in the near future.
