State Police are investigating a fatal car crash that occurred on Saturday (November 29) in Jefferson County. The accident took place around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 12E and County Route 8 in the town of Cape Vincent.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 2024 GMC Yukon Denali, driven by a 54-year-old man, was traveling eastbound on State Route 12E. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, failed to negotiate a curve and veered off the south side of the roadway.
