Syracuse Fire Department Seeks New Recruits

The Syracuse Fire Department is actively seeking new recruits as the deadline for applications approaches. Interested candidates must submit their applications by November 25, 2025, to be eligible for the entrance exam scheduled for January 10, 2026. The department is encouraging individuals to apply, especially as they aim to bolster their ranks with dedicated and capable personnel.

To qualify, candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. U.S. citizenship is required at the time of appointment. Additionally, candidates must have a valid New York State driver's license if they are required to operate a motor vehicle as part of their duties.
