An investigation is underway in Morris after a missing person was found dead along County Route 49. The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office reported the discovery on Saturday (November 8). The identity of the deceased and the cause of death have not been released by authorities.
According to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation is being conducted in collaboration with the New York State Police and the Otsego County District Attorney’s Office. Officials have assured the public that there is no threat to safety at this time.
As reported by CNY Central, the missing person report was filed on Saturday, and the deceased was found later that day. The investigation remains active, with authorities working to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
