Syracuse has been ranked among the top 50 cities in the United States with the highest average annual property value increases. According to a report by Realworldinvestor.com, Syracuse secured the 36th position, boasting an average annual property value increase of 12.88 percent. This ranking was determined by analyzing data from Realtor.com, which examined the median property values over the past five years in 363 U.S. cities.

In June 2025, the typical home value in Syracuse rose by more than 5.9 percent compared to the previous year, reaching a record high of over $252,000, according to data from Zillow. This growth places Syracuse among the top 25 metro areas nationwide for home value increases.

The city's strong property value growth reflects a broader trend of increasing real estate values in the region, driven by factors such as economic development and a growing demand for housing. As Syracuse continues to attract new residents and businesses, property values are expected to remain on an upward trajectory.
