The Onondaga County Department of Transportation has launched a new website dedicated to the proposed Teall Avenue Project. The website, which went live on Thursday (November 6), provides detailed information about the project's preliminary design and invites public input on the proposed improvements. The project aims to enhance safety along Teall Avenue, a high-accident corridor, by introducing design elements like dedicated left turn lanes at the Grant Boulevard intersection and reducing the lane configuration from four to three lanes, including a two-way left turn lane. Additional improvements include new sidewalks, bike lanes, and repairs to pavement and drainage systems.

The project, scheduled to commence in March 2027, spans from Grant Boulevard to Court Street, covering areas from the Town of Salina into Syracuse. The public can access the website and provide feedback until November 23.

CNY Central reports that the initiative aims to address highway safety concerns and reduce vehicular crashes in the area. The website launch is part of a broader effort to engage the community and gather input before construction begins.
