The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) has scheduled a public meeting to discuss the replacement of a bridge on U.S. Route 20 over Limestone Creek in Pompey. The meeting will take place on Wednesday (October 29) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pompey Town Hall.

The existing bridge, built in 1931, is slated to be replaced with a new single-span steel bridge. According to the NYSDOT, the new bridge will be constructed at a higher elevation to mitigate flooding risks and will feature larger lanes and shoulders to improve driver safety. The project aims to address structural concerns and enhance the overall functionality of the bridge.

Residents and interested parties are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more about the project and provide feedback. For more details, visit the CNY Central website.
