Syracuse police have identified Joseph Castillo, a 40-year-old man, as the victim of a fatal shooting on Tuesday night (October 14). Officers responded to reports of a shooting near Midland Avenue and West Brighton Avenue around 11 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Castillo with multiple gunshot wounds to his head, arm, and back. He was transported to Upstate University Hospital but succumbed to his injuries, as reported by CNY Central.
The investigation into Castillo's death is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
