A vice principal at H.W. Smith Elementary School in Syracuse remains on administrative leave following his arrest. Jaime Perez-Garcia, 54, faces charges of child endangerment after being found in a compromising situation. Authorities report that Perez-Garcia was caught drinking alcohol in the parking lot of Corcoran High School with a 15-year-old girl. The pair was discovered inside a pickup truck, where officers also found a bottle of alcohol and two shot glasses.

The incident has raised concerns within the community, and the school district has placed Perez-Garcia on leave while the investigation continues. Law enforcement is urging anyone with additional information regarding the incident to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.

Perez-Garcia's future with the school will likely depend on the outcome of the legal proceedings. The community and school district are closely monitoring the situation as it develops.
