Police Seek Public's Help in Salina Shooting Case

Onondaga County deputies are seeking assistance from the public to solve a homicide case in Salina. On Sunday morning (September 28), a man in his 30s was found with multiple gunshot wounds near the Mattydale Express store on Brewerton Road. Despite efforts to save him, he died at Upstate University Hospital.

The shooting occurred around 11:30 a.m., and deputies arrived to find the victim shot in the abdomen and chest. According to a report by CNY Central, the Sheriff's Criminal Investigations Division is leading the investigation. The victim's identity has not been released, and no suspects have been identified.

Syracuse.com reports that the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle. The sheriff's department urges anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
