A 32-year-old woman was hospitalized after being stabbed in the rib cage on Wednesday night (September 17) in Syracuse. The incident occurred around 10:42 p.m. near the intersection of Tully Street and Tioga Street. Syracuse Police officers responded to the scene following reports of a stabbing with injuries. Upon arrival, they found the woman suffering from a stab wound to her rib cage. She was promptly transported to Upstate University Hospital, where she is currently listed in stable condition.
The Syracuse Police Department is actively investigating the incident and urges anyone with information to contact their Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222. Calls will remain confidential.
In a related incident, Syracuse Police are also investigating a separate stabbing that occurred Tuesday night (September 16) at the intersection of North Geddes Street and Richmond Avenue. In this case, a 17-year-old girl was stabbed in the chest while attempting to break up a fight. The suspect in this incident is still being sought by police.
