The Syracuse University football team is expected to be without its star running back, Yasin Willis, for their game against Colgate at the JMA Wireless Dome tonight (September 12). Head coach Fran Brown announced that Willis, along with starting safety Devin Grant, will likely miss the game due to injuries. Brown shared this update during an appearance on TK99's Gomez and Company, expressing hope that both players will return for the upcoming game against Clemson next week.

Willis, a sophomore from Newark, New Jersey, has been a key player for the Orange, scoring a crucial touchdown in last week's overtime win against UConn. He has accumulated 139 yards and four touchdowns over the first two games of the season. In his absence, redshirt senior Will Nixon is expected to start at running back.

Grant, a senior who transferred from Buffalo, also missed last week's game against UConn. He is a vital part of Syracuse's defense, which will now rely on redshirt junior Cornell Perry and other teammates to fill the gap.

Despite these setbacks, Syracuse remains a strong favorite against Colgate, a Patriot League member. The Orange aim to improve their record to 2-1 with a win tonight. Tickets for the game are still available at the box office or through Ticketmaster.
