Lin-Manuel Miranda, the renowned creator and star of the Broadway hit "Hamilton," will speak at Hamilton College on Monday, September 29. The event, part of the Sacerdote Great Names series, will take place at 7 p.m. in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. Tickets are free but required, and they are available starting Wednesday (September 10) at 9 a.m. for the general public.
Miranda, known for his work as a songwriter, actor, director, and producer, will engage in a conversation with Broadway producer Eric Kuhn, a Hamilton College alumnus. Kuhn, who has won three Tony Awards, will moderate the discussion. The event celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Sacerdote Great Names series, which has previously hosted figures such as former President Barack Obama and tennis star Venus Williams.
Hamilton College provides free parking and shuttle services from several locations in the Village of Clinton. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to arrive early as seating is general admission. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream option is available for the Hamilton community. Special assistance accommodations can be arranged by contacting the college.
Miranda's appearance is highly anticipated, given his significant contributions to theater and film, including his work on "In the Heights," "Moana," and "Encanto." His visit to Hamilton College marks his second appearance on the campus.
