A woman from Parish has been arrested following a rollover crash on Interstate 81 in Hastings. State Police arrested 25-year-old Randasha A. Bailey on Wednesday (September 3) after toxicology reports revealed her blood alcohol content (BAC) was 0.15%, nearly twice the legal limit, and cannabis was present in her system. The crash occurred on July 16, when Bailey, driving a 2006 Ford Explorer, crossed the median and overturned multiple times, eventually stopping in the southbound lane. Fortunately, she was the only person in the vehicle, and no other injuries were reported.

Bailey initially was taken to Upstate University Hospital in critical condition but has since been released. She faces several charges, including Driving While Ability Impaired (DWAI) by the combined influence of drugs or alcohol and drugs. She also received tickets for multiple violations, such as driving without a license, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, improper passing, and reckless driving.

According to CNYCentral, Bailey is scheduled to appear in Oswego County CAP Court on September 15. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about impaired driving and road safety.
