The New York State Fair in Syracuse saw a significant increase in attendance this year, with over 925,000 people attending the event. This marks a roughly seven percent rise from 2024's numbers. The fair's busiest day was Sunday (August 31), when more than 104,000 visitors entered the fairgrounds, according to fair spokesperson Katie Rey. The lowest attendance was recorded on Opening Day (August 20), with 32,000 attendees.

The fair, which concluded on Monday (September 1), featured a variety of attractions, including concerts, rides, and food, drawing large crowds throughout its duration. Notable performances included LOCASH, 24K Magic – The Ultimate Bruno Mars Tribute Experience, and +LIVE+. However, the Dionne Warwick concert scheduled for Monday was canceled.

According to Syracuse.com, the fair's success this year is attributed to its diverse entertainment lineup and traditional attractions, which continue to make it a late-summer favorite. The 2026 New York State Fair is set to begin on August 26 and will end on Labor Day.
