Investigation Continues in Fatal New Haven Motorcycle Crash

An investigation is ongoing into a fatal crash that occurred in New Haven on Tuesday (August 26). According to the Oswego County Sheriff's Office, 21-year-old Scott Awe was riding his 2024 Honda motorcycle westbound on Route 104B when he attempted a left turn onto County Route 6. During this maneuver, he collided with an eastbound 2006 Ford F350 pickup truck. Awe, a resident of New Haven, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the pickup truck were unharmed. The names of the truck's occupants have not been released. The incident was reported at approximately 5:31 p.m., and several agencies, including the New York State Police, New Haven Volunteer Fire Department, and the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, responded to the scene.

As reported by CNY Central, the accident remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed. The sheriff's office is asking any witnesses to come forward with information.
