The Wild Animal Park in Chittenango is calling on the public to help name its newest resident, a baby giraffe born earlier this month. The zoo has launched a naming contest and is inviting suggestions that begin with the letters J or K. Participants can submit their ideas by commenting on the zoo's Facebook page. The winner of the contest will receive two tickets to see country music star Tyler Farr perform at The Haven on Friday, September 19.
The concert, part of The Haven's summer music series, will feature Tyler Farr, known for hits like "Redneck Crazy" and "A Guy Walks Into a Bar," along with special guests Nicholas Starks & These Dudes. The event will take place at The Haven, a new concert venue near The Wild Animal Park, which offers views of the park's African savanna. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the concert will run until 10 p.m.
Tickets for the concert are available starting at $20 through vivenu.com, with additional fees potentially applying. The Haven is located at 1863 New Boston Rd, while The Wild Animal Park is nearby at 7621 Lakeport Rd in Chittenango.
