A seven-year-old boy remains in critical but stable condition after being struck by a vehicle in Syracuse on Monday (August 11). The incident occurred around 2 p.m. on Almond Street, between Jackson Street and East Adams Street, near Wilson Park. Emergency responders quickly transported the child to Upstate University Hospital, located just blocks from the accident site.
The vehicle involved was identified as an SUV, and the driver stayed at the scene, cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Syracuse police spokesperson Kieran Coffey confirmed that the boy suffered multiple traumatic injuries. Authorities are urging any witnesses to the accident to come forward with information to aid the investigation.
