A Syracuse woman, Marisa Connelly, has been arrested and charged with second-degree manslaughter following the death of Lawrence Baker at Guilfoil's Irish Pub. The incident occurred on May 31, when Connelly allegedly knocked the 68-year-old Baker off a stool at the pub located on Burnet Avenue. Baker was found unconscious and later died at Upstate University Hospital.

Connelly, aged 41, turned herself in to the Syracuse Police Department on Monday (August 11) and was accompanied by her attorney. She is now being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center. According to Syracuse.com, the charge stems from the alleged altercation that led to Baker's death.

The Syracuse Police Department responded to the scene around 12:30 a.m. on the day of the incident after receiving reports of a man falling out of a chair and being injured. Baker was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. CNYCentral.com reported that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
