The Syracuse University men's basketball team will face a new opponent this season, taking on the Delaware State Hornets for the first time. The game is scheduled for November 8 at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York. Delaware State, which competes in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), is led by head coach Stan Waterman.

This matchup marks a fresh challenge for both teams, as they have never met on the court before. The Orange are known for their strong presence in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), while Delaware State is looking to make an impact outside their usual MEAC opponents.

The full ACC schedule for Syracuse is expected to be released in the coming weeks, providing a clearer picture of their season ahead. Meanwhile, Delaware State is preparing for their conference play, with the MEAC Basketball Tournament set to be broadcast on ESPN platforms.
