Motorcyclist Dies in Oswego County Crash

A tragic accident in Oswego County claimed the life of 34-year-old James R. Clark on Wednesday (August 6). According to New York State Police, the crash occurred around 3:24 p.m. on Route 11 in West Monroe. Clark, from Constantia, was riding a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle southbound when he collided with the back of a hay wagon being towed by a 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck.

The pickup truck, driven by 73-year-old Robert D. Esker of West Monroe, was also traveling south and was in the process of making a left turn into a driveway. The hay wagon was marked with a slow-moving vehicle triangle. Unfortunately, Clark was pronounced dead at the scene. Esker was not injured in the incident.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, as authorities continue to piece together the events leading up to the collision.
