Tammy Kay Ly, a reality TV star from Syracuse known for her appearances on "The Bachelor" and "Bachelor in Paradise," is launching a new social club called "The Society" in Syracuse, New York. Set to open on Sunday (August 10), the club offers a unique blend of a luxury coffee shop and juice bar, alongside exclusive events for paid members.
Located at 300 E. Washington St., The Society aims to bring a touch of Los Angeles to Central New York. Ly, a 2013 graduate of Liverpool High School, was inspired to create this space after noticing a lack of big-city vibes during her visits home from Los Angeles. "I wanted to bring a little bit of the big city here to the town that raised me," Ly told syracuse.com.
The club will feature a menu of lattes, smoothies, juices, and kava—a non-alcoholic drink known for its relaxing effects. While alcohol won't be served regularly, some private events may offer drinks with a temporary liquor license. Membership benefits include access to private events, member-only hours, and daily complimentary drip coffee.
Ly co-founded The Society with Steve Case, owner of Acropolis Development and Acropolis Realty Group. They envision it as a community hub where diverse ideas and people can come together. As a real estate agent, Ly hopes to attract new residents to Syracuse by offering a vibrant community space.
The club will operate seven days a week, with extended hours on weekends to cater to various lifestyles. Ly's venture reflects her desire to promote a healthy lifestyle, similar to what she experienced in Los Angeles. "I'm excited to bring this concept to our town," she said.
