Man Stabbed During Bar Fight in Syracuse Remains Critical

A 52-year-old man is in critical condition after being stabbed during a large bar fight at Curley's Tavern in Syracuse early Sunday morning (August 3). Syracuse Police responded to the incident at approximately 2:45 a.m. and found the man with a stab wound to his leg.

The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. According to Syracuse Police Department spokesperson Thomas Blake, the stabbing occurred during a physical altercation inside the bar located at 809 Valley Drive.

As of now, the suspect has not been apprehended, and the police have not identified the person responsible for the stabbing. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Syracuse Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.

Syracuse.com and WSYR-TV report that officers provided medical aid to the victim until emergency medical services arrived on the scene. The investigation remains active as police continue to gather information and search for the suspect.
