Onondaga County deputies are actively searching for Thomas Driscoll, a 22-year-old man from Clay who is suspected of stabbing a 59-year-old man at a McDonald's in Salina. The incident occurred around midnight on Sunday (July 20) at the restaurant located on Seventh North Street. According to authorities, the altercation between Driscoll and the victim was unexpected, as the two men did not know each other and the argument escalated quickly.
After the stabbing, Driscoll fled the scene with several other individuals. The victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he received treatment for injuries to his arm and hand and was subsequently released. An arrest warrant has been issued for Driscoll for second-degree assault, a felony.
The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about Driscoll's whereabouts to contact them at 315-435-3081. Tips can also be submitted anonymously. The sheriff's office is relying on public assistance to locate Driscoll, as reported by Syracuse.com and LocalSYR.
