The New York State Fair organizers have announced a final call for entries in the 2025 competitions. With over 350 categories available, participants can showcase talents in photography, arts and crafts, horticulture, baking, and more. The fair, which runs from August 20 through September 1, is a celebration of New York's diverse talents and offers a chance for both seasoned professionals and passionate hobbyists to earn recognition and prizes.

According to the official fair website, some competition entries are still open, but deadlines are approaching quickly. Participants are encouraged to visit the Competitions webpage to explore categories still accepting entries.

This year, the fair introduces new community-focused competitions, adding to its already extensive lineup. Fair Director Julie LaFave stated, "Participating in our competitions is a wonderful way to celebrate talent, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and earn recognition at one of the State’s most anticipated summer events."

The fair continues to be one of the most affordable in the nation, with admission tickets priced at $8, including access to all grounds entertainment and the Chevrolet Music Series. Admission remains free for those aged 65 and older and children 12 and under.
