New details have emerged regarding the murder of Nicole Azzoto, 40, in Syracuse. The Onondaga County District Attorney's office revealed that a witness overheard an argument and a gunshot between Azzoto and Anthony Price, 56, at a residence on Glass Terrace last Thursday (July 17). Despite this, the witness did not immediately report the incident to the police, instead informing others about what they had heard.

Syracuse Police discovered Azzoto's body during a welfare check the following day, Friday (July 18), at approximately 2:25 p.m. According to WSYR-TV, the police investigation led to the arrest of Anthony Price, who was found at the scene. He has been charged with second-degree murder, a class A-1 felony, and is currently held at the Onondaga County Justice Center.

The investigation is ongoing, with detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division conducting interviews and executing search warrants. As reported by Syracuse.com, the police have not yet disclosed the exact manner of Azzoto's death or the nature of her relationship with Price. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.
