Boeheim's Army is set to face We Are D3 tonight at the SRC Arena on the campus of Onondaga Community College in Syracuse. The game, part of The Basketball Tournament (TBT), will tip off at 8 p.m. and be broadcast live on FS2. Boeheim's Army, composed mainly of former Syracuse University players, advanced to this round after a decisive 97-71 victory over the Herkimer Originals on Saturday (July 19).

Buddy Boeheim led Boeheim's Army with 24 points, shooting an impressive 7-for-9 from the three-point line. Elijah Hughes contributed 21 points, and Jacob Gilyard added a double-double with 10 points and 11 assists. The team shot 62% from beyond the arc, a key factor in their win. As reported by Syracuse.com, Buddy Boeheim's performance was fueled by adrenaline after a whirlwind journey from the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

Boeheim's Army, winners of the TBT in 2021, is a favorite in this year's tournament. The team is known for its strong Syracuse connections, including players like Malachi Richardson and Jimmy Boeheim, who also scored in double figures against the Originals. The game tonight against We Are D3, who defeated Layne's Hope 75-71, promises to be another exciting matchup.

The TBT features a unique Elam Ending, where the game clock is turned off in the fourth quarter and a target score is set, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition. Boeheim's Army fans are expected to fill the arena, creating a lively atmosphere as the team continues its quest for the $1 million prize.
