Two Killed by Dump Truck Near Syracuse University

A tragic accident near Syracuse University has resulted in the deaths of two pedestrians. On Thursday (July 10), a woman and a man were struck by a dump truck at the intersection of East Adams Street and University Avenue. The woman, in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 24-year-old man was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The dump truck involved in the incident was identified as belonging to BH Enterprises of CNY Corp., a company based in Cicero that offers excavation, landscaping, and tree services. According to WSYR-TV, the driver of the truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

The Syracuse Police Department, along with the Syracuse Fire Department and Syracuse University Ambulance, responded to the scene. The intersection was closed off with police tape as investigators worked to gather information.
