The Moonlight Movies series is returning to Syracuse, with a schedule of family-friendly films at the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview. Starting Wednesday (July 2), the series will kick off with the showing of 'Wicked.' The event is free to attend, and parking is also complimentary, making it an accessible outing for families and friends.
According to WSYR-TV, attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. Skippy's, the official ice cream vendor, along with various food trucks and local vendors, will be available on-site. The gates will open at 5:30 p.m., with movies starting at 6 p.m.
The series continues on July 7 with 'Monster Night,' featuring 'Shrek' and 'Monsters, Inc.' On July 16, 'Animation Night' will showcase 'Elemental' and 'Inside Out.' The Moonlight Movies website notes that the event is presented by WellNow Urgent Care, Chick-fil-A, and Bill Rapp of Syracuse. It is organized by Galaxy Media Partners, which encourages attendees to dress up for 'Monster Night.'
The event will take place rain or shine, and seating is available under the pavilion. For those interested in sponsoring the event or getting involved, contact details are available on the Moonlight Movies website.
